Wealth Management Philosophy

lineweaver financial group wealth management philosophy

To paraphrase one of the world’s most successful and opportunistic investors, Warren Buffet, the traditional “buy and hold” philosophy to accumulate wealth rarely works in today’s financial marketplace. While buy-and-hold is a proven, effective strategy when applied over a 30 to 50 year period, the reality is that most people’s meaningful investment horizon is much shorter; i.e. 15 to 20 years.

Additionally, today’s information age is unlike any other in history. Computers generate reams of data — some logical, some conflicting — available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And the stock market’s roller coaster ride of the past decade has reinforced the importance of adjusting asset allocation and manager selection based on changing market conditions.

Lineweaver Financial Group believes that reducing exposure to the stock market during recessionary periods and increasing equity exposure during expansionary periods can lead to superior investment returns. We also believe this type of “hands-on” investment approach is best implemented with professional guidance. Consequently, we offer two types of Wealth Management Services.

1. The Managed Money Account (MMA)

Simply put, we manage 100% of your portfolio, 100% of the time. LFG money managers remove your emotions from allocation changes and market volatility. They make changes if and when needed to preserve and manage your assets. They are not compensated based on sales activity, sector changes, or modifications to your personalized asset allocation model. We receive a quarterly fee based on the size of assets under management and the correlated success in potentially growing those assets. This “success based compensation model” provides you with the confidence that your best interests are always at hand. These plans are also customized for your particular situation.

2. Personal Accumulation Portfolio (PAP)

Lineweaver investment professionals apply the same disciplined approach to preserving and managing your money as we do with our managed money accounts. However, in the Personal Accumulation Portfolio, we make recommendations and you make the final decisions. PAP allows those investors who believe they are student of the financial markets to actively participate in asset allocations and analysis of market trends.

No matter which type of account you prefer, you will be able to access all of your financial information, which is securely stored and available to you 24/7 online via our consolidated reporting platform. All clients are also encouraged to develop fully coordinated plans with the assistance of Lineweaver Wealth Watch Center’s investment, tax, legal and insurance professionals. Lineweaver investment professionals are always happy to work with your other existing outside advisors.

Which Account is for me?

To determine which account is best for you, you might want to start with asking yourself five basic questions. A Lineweaver investment professional will be happy to discuss your responses.

  1. Do you enjoy analyzing weekly financial trends?
  2. Do you consider yourself with a high tolerance for risk?
  3. Have you ever entrusted your money decisions to 3rd Parties?
  4. Do you have a specific long term financial plan?
  5. Do you monitor your financial assets every week?
